Glenarley Chanter Reeds.

As the GHB chanter is not designed or constructed to any given standard, the pitch of a reed will vary depending on the make and model of a given chanter.

Because of the arbitrary GHB chanter design, when ordering reeds it is very useful to provide the chanter make and model, an approximate pressure range to be played and the intended playing pitch.

We try to provide our reeds pre-configured to the piper’s requirements and chanter.

The stock reeds come in 

Easy = starting at aprox 22″H2O

Med = starting at aprox 26″H2O

Firm = starting at aprox 30″H20

If a specific strength is required outside the stock ranges, please make this clear at time of your inquiry.
